How was the Book of Mormon text produced?

Carmack argues that the earliest text contains grammatical patterns characteristic of Early Modern English that cannot be explained simply by imitation of the King James Bible or Smith’s ordinary dialect. He takes those patterns as evidence that the English wording was revealed to Smith rather than composed in Smith’s own language.

the grammar presents extensive evidence of its Early Modern English character, independent in many cases from the King James Bible.
