Is the Book of Mormon an ancient record?

Jockers, Witten, and Criddle argue that their statistical comparisons support a nineteenth-century collaboration, with Sidney Rigdon adding theology to Solomon Spalding’s writings and Oliver Cowdery also contributing. Their attribution compares seven candidate authors, including two controls, and is relative to that candidate set.

Our findings support the hypothesis that Rigdon was the main architect of the Book of Mormon
